The morning hours from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. are reserved for ladies and families only, but the exhibition will again be open to the general public from 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. All visitors of Motor Show 2006 get a chance to win valuable prizes by filling out the raffle coupons distributed at the entrance.
"The Motor Show is an excellent opportunity for everyone to personally see what it's like to sit behind the wheel of the latest car models that are now available here in Oman," said C.J. Paul, general manager of Omanexpo LLC, the company organising the event since 1990. "The wide range of vehicles on display including futuristic concept cars is sure to impress all visitors," he stressed.
Motor Show 2006 showcases the latest models of globally known automotive brands such as Citroen, Daihatsu, Ford, Kia, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Suzuki, TATA, and Toyota. Also featured in the exhibition are desert buggies made in France, TATA and Nissan diesel commercial vehicles, Yamaha motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles, Dadi and LMG vehicles from Malaysia, and various vehicles manufactured in China.
Among the exhibits that are highly popular to visitors is the FTX Future Truck Concept as well as the talking and dancing robot, presented by the Saud Bahwan Group. Also turning heads is the NIMER 2 Light Armored Vehicle, which is manufactured in the sultanate by Engine Engineering Co. LLC.
Motor Show 2006 also offers an extensive range of auto parts, car accessories, and various services for car owners and motoring enthusiasts. On display are entertainment systems, aesthetic solutions for cars, auto insurance and financing, motoring magazines, Continental tires, heat control films, upholstery services and a glass protection system.
Motor Show 2006 is supported by HSBC Bank Middle East Limited as the major sponsor, V-KOOL Oman as the sponsor, Automan as the official publication, and the Oman Economic Review as the media partner.
The major exhibitors include the leading car dealers in the sultanate including Al Hashar & Company, Al Rumaila Motors, Arabian Car Marketing Co. LLC, Mohsin Haider Darwish LLC, European Motors LLC, Lulu Motors, Moosa Abdul Rahman Hassan & Co. LLC, Reliable International Automotive, Saud Bahwan Automotive LLC, and Zubair Automotive.
Other exhibitors are Al Ahlia Insurance, Bank Muscat, Car Seat Upholstery Co. LLC, Color Line LLC, Dallal Magazine, Engine Engineering Company, Gulf Auto Magazine, Hazaar United Trading LLC, National Finance Company, the Royal Oman Police, Vinzi Desert Buggy LLC, and Zakher International LLC.
