Lillian Gallegos-Martinez has joined UTEP as the director of campus card operations. Gallegos-Martinez will oversee the university's Miner Gold Card program, which is the ID and campus access system for students, faculty and staff.

Kimberly H. Brenner, licensed clinical social worker, has been recertified as a board certified diplomat in clinical social work. Brenner has a clinical psychotherapy private practice in El Paso.

Marco Bencomo, assistant vice president - JDW Commercial, earned JDW Insurance's New Business Production Leader Award for October. Bencomo is a graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso and has a bachelor's degree in accounting. He joined JDW Insurance in 2001.

Steven R. Silver, executive director of Groundwork El Paso, presented the plan for the city of El Paso's Brownfield Redevelopment Program at the 2005 National Brownfields Conference, which took place recently in Denver. About 5,000 people attended the conference, with the theme "Reaching New Heights in Redevelopment."

J.J. Riley has joined Regent Broadcasting's KSII-FM (93.1) as program director and afternoon personality. Riley was previously assistant program director and afternoon personality at KQMB in Salt Lake City.
