Bob Johnson has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of operations at Mennonite Village in Albany. Previously he was administrator of Quail Run, the assisted living facility at Mennonite Village. A licensed nursing home administrator, Johnson has more than 15 years' experience in elder care and was a Lutheran pastor for 11 years. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree from Luther Seminary.
Jackie Chandler, director of Samaritan Dialysis Services, is the new co-editor of RenaLink. The newsletter is a joint publication of the Council of Nephrology Nurses and Technicians, the Council of Nephrology Social Work and the Council on Renal Nutrition of the National Kidney Foundation.
Molly Gage is the new director of Benton Furniture Share. She has eight years' experience in social services and a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from St. John's College in Santa Fe, N.M. Gage is pursuing a master's degree in social work at Portland State University.

John Martinsen of A.G. Edwards in Corvallis has been elected second vice chairman of the board of trustees of Trillium Family Services. This will be Martinsen's second term as an executive officer of Trillium, which operates the Children's Farm Home in Corvallis.
Samaritan Health Services has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement Award in Coordination from the Oregon Emergency Management Association. The award recognizes Samaritan's efforts in coordinating inter-hospital aid in Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties.

Pepsi-Cola of Corvallis has received a Blue Ribbon Award from the Western Fairs Association for its work with the 2005 Linn County Fair. The fair board nominated the bottling company as the outstanding business partner of this year's fair. The Western Fairs Association represents about 150 agricultural fairs in the Western United States and Canada.
Dennis Pendley, an agent for Allstate Insurance in Corvallis, has earned the personal financial representative designation. He will now be able to offer his customers variable annuity, variable life and mutual fund products, in addition to auto, homeowner and traditional life insurance policies. Pendley earned the designation by passing the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 6 and Series 63 securities license exams and completing an Allstate training curriculum.
Employees of Central Willamette Credit Union raised $515 for the Alzheimer's Network of Oregon during the Walk to Remember in Albany this month. Credit union volunteers took pledges at Central Willamette branches in Albany, Corvallis, Lebanon and Salem.
